Labour Day – a one day workshop
This day long course offers a holistic preparation for labour and birth. Suitable for anyone who is expecting a baby, their partner, mother, sister or birth partner.
Run by midwives who are also experienced in a range of holistic therapies and healing arts, the day will look at the importance of hormones for labour, birth and breastfeeding, explain how this is the fundamental influence of the birth process and how you can maximise the flow of the right sort of hormones!
Full of practical advice from a holistic perspective, sessions will include making decisions about where to have your baby, how to deal with situations if they don’t go to ‘plan’, strengthening your relationship with yourself as you prepare to embark on the boat of mother/fatherhood, deepening your relationship with your partner before, during and after labour and birth… You will also have the opportunity to participate in an ‘Ask the Midwife’ session where you can ask experienced midwives anything you want to know about pregnancy, birth or life after birth!
Labour Day runs from 10am until 4.30pm. All refreshments and a delicious organic vegetarian lunch are included in the price.
Price for Labour Day workshop: £75 per person; £140 for two bookings (eg per couple)
Deposit: £25 per person (payable upon booking)
